Slowly formed over many years, pearls are simple and alluring. They have an iridescence, a subtly colored, everchanging beauty that is natural, not machine made. The process is begun and guided by the hand of man, but the handiwork and beauty is all natural. They can be perfectly round, or less symmetric, but there’s always a lovely luminescence in a pearl. Pearls of course do exist purely in nature, but they’re one in a million.
The Modern Anniversasry Gift List suggests diamond to celebrate a thirtieth anniversary. Diamonds are rare and expensive gemstones, often associated with romance and marriage.

This shell was picked up on a long walk down Redondo Beach in California. Later, a mold was made to capture all the natural details of the shell before casting it in sterling silver.
